Oxts RT1003 Family

RT1003 Family for Compact GNSS/INS Integration

Ready for challenging GNSS environments

The RT1003 is a compact, dual antenna product for space constrained ADAS applications such as VRU tests and low-profile robotic vehicles. Despite its small size, the RT1003 captures measurements with the same reliability as our other INS products, and perfectly suits the requirements of the current NCAP, NHTSA and IIHS roadmaps.

Key features:

  • Ideal for Euro NCAP VRU tests where size and weight of INS are critical

  • No hidden costs— software included free

  • One box solution with real-time CAN, Ethernet and serial output

  • Dual antenna GPS/GLONASS for accurate heading in all conditions

  • No export control—ship and operate worldwide without hassle

  • RTK 2 cm position accuracy and 0.25° slip angle accuracy

Applications:

  • Autonomous vehicle testing

  • Motorcycle dynamics testing

  • AB Dynamics recommended for steering robot guidance

  • VRU pedestrian/cyclist tests

The small size and low weight of the RT1003 make it an excellent choice for pedestrian and vulnerable road user (VRU) testing, particularly in situations where space restrictions are significant and must be taken into account. With a mass of just 0.435 kilograms and a height of 77 millimeters, this device represents the lightest fully-featured automotive system offered by OxTS, making it a versatile option for various applications in the field.

The RT1003 is the ideal choice if you’re looking for an INS for a moving ADAS target, including in EURO NCAP AEB C2C and VRU tests. Using the RT-Range S Target, you can connect the device to an RT-XLAN Wi-Fi antenna and transmit data from the RT1003 in your target vehicle/platform to the RT in the Hunter vehicle.

Featuring advanced GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou aiding technology, as well as the latest OxTS IMU technology for enhanced precision, the RT1003 v2 emerges as the cost-effective choice for capturing accurate position, orientation, and dynamics data. This capability is particularly beneficial for operations in all but the harshest GNSS environments, ensuring reliable performance across a variety of applications.
